New Vernacular

A publishing identity system spanning 12 imprints and 3 continents — designed for books that refuse to stay in their lane.

Publishing needed a new design language for the post-genre reader. New Vernacular is a modular identity system that gives each of PRH’s 12 imprints a distinct visual personality while holding together under a single editorial logic.

The system includes a custom type specimen, a digital toolkit, and an art direction guide for commissioning illustration and photography.
